Joint Security and Intelligence Committee for Oversight of the Intelligence – Security Agency of BiH oversees the legality of the Agency work; discusses and notes the appointment of the Director General, Deputy Director General; reviews Chairman’s reports regarding matters within his/her competence, including actions taken in correcting issues in the Agency raised during an inspection, audit or investigation; reviews Director General’s reports regarding the operations and expenditures of the Agency, particularly analyzing ways of spending budget resources; provides opinion on the detailed budget proposal for the Agency; reviews Chief Inspector’s reports; requests from employees of the Agency, to provide expert consultancy, when necessary, with the assistance of the Chair for the purpose of exercising its oversight authority; conducts inquiries regarding the work of the Agency.
Committee also reviews other issues from Agency’s scope of work, pursuant to the Law on Intelligence – Security Agency of BiH, and in accordance to other specific laws from which derive competent jurisdiction.
